Ninety-degree parking is the most economical use of space where it is feasible. However, there are disadvantages in it's use as there are with the use of other commonly used angles. Ninety-degree parking permits two-direction aisle travel. A one-way travel aisle is used with angle parking.
The lenght of the stall has been set at 18-20 feet deep but the width varies from 8 feet & up.
Nine feet wide is usually standard.
Aisle width to the stall width and the angle of parking. The minimum width for single direction aisles is 14 feet and for two direction aisles 24 feet.
The visual impression of an aisle width can be more important than the actual aisle width in feet.
